Your Hilo subscription gives you access to the complete Hilo system, including the Hilo Band, Hilo Cuff and the Hilo App. Together, these provide continuous blood pressure monitoring, insights and tools to help you understand your cardiovascular health.
With your subscription, you can:
- View your full blood pressure history: Access all your measurements and trends in the Hilo App.
- Track patterns and progress over time: See weekly and monthly averages, detailed timeline comparisons and insights into your blood pressure patterns.
- Monitor time in your target range: Understand how much time your blood pressure stays within a healthy range with Time in Target Range (TTR) insights.
- Generate doctor-ready reports: Create clear summaries of your blood pressure data to share during medical consultations.
- Add notes and track medication: Record health notes and keep track of medications or lifestyle changes that may affect your readings.
- Monitor sleep and activity: View sleep duration and daily step counts to understand how lifestyle factors relate to your blood pressure.
- Sync with other health apps: Automatically share data with Apple Health or Health Connect for broader health tracking.
Some features, such as phone-based measurements, are available only on compatible devices.
Hilo is designed as a complete blood pressure monitoring system, combining the Hilo Band, Hilo Cuff, and the Hilo App with secure data processing and ongoing software improvements.
To use the system, an active Hilo Subscription is required.
Unlike traditional blood pressure monitors that only provide individual readings, Hilo is designed to help you track your blood pressure continuously and understand long-term patterns in your cardiovascular health.
Your subscription supports the digital services that make this possible, including:
- Secure processing and storage of your health data
- Personalized insights and long-term trend analysis
- Advanced metrics such as Time in Target Range
- Doctor-ready health reports
- Integration with health platforms like Apple Health or Health Connect
- Continuous app improvements and new features
An active subscription is required to use your Hilo Band and access blood pressure data.
If you cancel:
- You will have 30 days of limited access (last 24 hours of data only).
- After 30 days, new blood pressure measurements and insights will no longer be available.
- Your Hilo Band remains yours to keep.
- Your historical data remains securely stored.
- You can keep the cuff and continue to use it for one-off readings.
- You can reactivate your membership at any time to resume continuous monitoring and regain full access.
Hilo is a CE-marked Class IIa medical device that has undergone extensive clinical validation.
Its accuracy has been evaluated in clinical trials and validated according to the ISO 81060-2 international standard for blood pressure devices. In these studies, Hilo’s measurements were shown to be comparable to traditional upper-arm cuff devices.

Hilo is a CE-marked Class IIa medical device. However, it is not suitable for everyone.
Below is a summary of key contraindications. Please refer to the user manuals for full details:
Hilo Band should NOT be used:
- On individuals with sustained cardiac arrhythmias that lead to unstable pulse waves (e.g. atrial fibrillation or resting heart rate >120 bpm)
- On individuals with conditions that significantly reduce peripheral circulation (e.g. severe Raynaud’s disease, advanced renal dysfunction, untreated thyroid disorders, pheochromocytoma, arteriovenous fistula)
- During pregnancy
- On damaged or injured skin
- On individuals under 21 or over 85 years of age
