What happens if I cancel my subscription?

An active subscription is required to use your Hilo Band and access blood pressure data.
If you cancel:

You will have 30 days of limited access (last 24 hours of data only).
After 30 days, new blood pressure measurements and insights will no longer be available.
Your Hilo Band remains yours to keep.
Your historical data remains securely stored.
You can keep the cuff and continue to use it for one-off readings.
You can reactivate your membership at any time to resume continuous monitoring and regain full access.

How accurate is Hilo blood pressure monitoring?

Hilo is a CE-marked Class IIa medical device that has undergone extensive clinical validation.
Its accuracy has been evaluated in clinical trials and validated according to the ISO 81060-2 international standard for blood pressure devices. In these studies, Hilo’s measurements were shown to be comparable to traditional upper-arm cuff devices.

What are the medical contraindications?

Hilo is a CE-marked Class IIa medical device. However, it is not suitable for everyone.
Below is a summary of key contraindications. Please refer to the user manuals for full details:

Hilo Band should NOT be used:

On individuals with sustained cardiac arrhythmias that lead to unstable pulse waves (e.g. atrial fibrillation or resting heart rate >120 bpm)
On individuals with conditions that significantly reduce peripheral circulation (e.g. severe Raynaud’s disease, advanced renal dysfunction, untreated thyroid disorders, pheochromocytoma, arteriovenous fistula)
During pregnancy
On damaged or injured skin
On individuals under 21 or over 85 years of age

Hilo Cuff should NOT be used:

On individuals with implanted electrical devices (e.g. pacemakers or defibrillators)
During pregnancy or possible pregnancy
On neonatal patients or children
On individuals with certain cardiovascular conditions (e.g. premature ventricular beats, atrial fibrillation, peripheral arterial disease)
On arms affected by intravascular therapy, arterio-venous shunts, or mastectomy

Hilo Phone Measurement feature should NOT be used:

On individuals with sustained cardiac arrhythmias (including atrial fibrillation)
On individuals with severely reduced peripheral circulation
During pregnancy
On individuals with amputated upper limbs or index fingers
On damaged skin at the measurement site
On individuals with polyneuropathy

I was looking specifically for a watch…

I was looking specifically for a watch which would keep a constant check on my blood pressure and pulse, with clinically backed technology. I could find lots of watches that measure pulse but not trusted blood pressure. I have had my HiLo for less than a week but the readings and displays are so informative that I can go to my GP with easily understandable data to have a review for hypertension.

A good experience all round.

Have been wearing mine for a week now and for the first time I feel I am getting real useful information. The readings are accurate and the system was pretty easy to set up - just follow the instructions. Ordering and delivery were both straight forward and stress free.

Looking forward to gaining further insight as I go along. I would recommend to anyone needing serious information about their blood pressure.

Hilo/Aktiia BP/HR monitor is truly amazing.

Firstly; The Hilo device is extremely comfortable to wear and is amazing at providing a reassuring constant 24/7 monitoring on my BP&HR. It is extremely interesting monitoring my stats during rest versus activity. All statistical results can be printed or sent via email to my Doctor if required. Providing me with comfort to know that my stats are well within range.

Add to this a customer services that are truly amazing, by providing speedy responses and swift actions to the customers during times of need. Personally, I am one very satisfied customer.

The only wearable that actually solves a real problem

This is one of those rare, genuinely life-changing devices that solves a real problem in a market flooded with mediocre and largely pointless wearables. Most wearables feel like solutions looking for a problem. Hilo is the opposite. Hypertension is a silent killer. It is far more common than most people realise and it progresses quietly over months and years. Taking a single blood pressure reading once a month is meaningless. It is like looking out of the window on a cold January morning and concluding that summer will be dry and sunny.

No one has the time or patience to measure their blood pressure manually dozens of times a day, every day of the year. Hilo does exactly that. It captures thousands of data points and reveals how blood pressure is really behaving beneath the surface, including patterns that would otherwise go completely unnoticed.

In my case, it showed consistent blood pressure peaks between 2:00 and 6:00 am. That insight alone was invaluable. I was able to take a clear, data-backed report to my GP, who was so impressed that he decided to buy one himself.

If you are over 50 and care about your heart and kidneys, this device is a no-brainer. Hilo has clearly invested heavily in research and clinical validation. The science is solid, credible, and robust enough for publication in top-tier scientific journals. They have gone through every regulatory and technical process required, including FDA approval, which gives real confidence in the data.

At around £200, this is without question the best money I have ever spent on my health. The software has a few minor teething issues, but that is a trade-off I am happy with. Hilo focused on making the measurements accurate and trustworthy, not on making the data look pretty. The foundations are rock solid. The polish will come.
