Raghav (Rags) Gupta is a serial entrepreneur focused on technology-driven innovation. He joined Hilo as CEO in 2024 drawn to our mission of managing the world’s blood pressure by transforming blood pressure monitoring – a topic close to his heart, with hypertension having directly impacted his family.
Over the course of his career, Rags has directly contributed to building and scaling multiple technology companies, including both Butlr and Humatics to Series B funding, and Brightcove to its initial public offering (IPO). He was also instrumental in developing Videoplaza for its subsequent acquisition by Ooyala, as well as Live365, an internet-based radio network. His experience spans consumer and enterprise technologies, with a focus on innovation, go-to-market strategy, and product-led growth.
Beyond operating roles, Rags actively supports the next generation of founders as an advisor and mentor at MIT Sandbox, among others. He also serves as a venture partner at Hyperplane, a Boston-based seed venture capital fund.
Born in India and raised outside Philadelphia, Rags studied Operations Research at Princeton University and has lived in London, Silicon Valley and New York. He currently resides near Boston MA, with his wife and two children.
